IMAGINE. 16,000 years ago: glaciers travel over the shaping, hulking figures of earth as they form the rolling curvatures of today's Great Plains.
IMAGINE. Wolves that surpass your hips are wandering through the stalks of grass that cover the plains and to your right are the felines with 7-inch long canines scything the air.
IMAGINE. As you travel the forest, a bear lumbers past that doubles your height as he ominously looms over you. When you reach the edge, a sloth crosses your path; but no, not in the tree but on the ground and he surpasses the bear reaching the height of 20 feet.
IMAGINE. As you stumble back onto the plains, a herd of horses you thought you could only see in Asia stampede right in front of your face. Following close behind - lions, real lions.
IMAGINE. As the ground rumbles beneath your feet and you look up, the shaggy beast above you slams his foot to the ground and gives a rumbling yell with his elongated nose. The mammoth turns as if considering you before reaching high into the trees and grabbing a snack.
IMAGINE. Being back in the Ice Age, and you are one of the greatest predators - a wolf, a Dire Wolf with bone-crushing jaws and a heavy build.

GENERAL.
Post count must reach at least 250 words. No less, though you can exceed this. No powerplaying or godmoding. If you do not know what these are, I advise you please leave. No psmaming, unless you are posting in the board made specifically for spam. No RPings lyk dis bcuz u f33l lyk it. That's dumb, and incorrect grammar. Respect staff, they are above you and help to run this site. You are allowed more than one character and you do not need to make new accounts for each one.
IN CHARACTER.
Fighting.
Fights will be determined by Respect points as well as roleplaying ability. Roleplaying ability consists of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, flow and ability to keep on topic. As you may have noticed, length is not a priority. If you post a 500 word post that meets and exceeds all of these requirements but your opponent posts an extremely long grammatically wrong post, you will probably win. Breed does not matter when fighting. There is only one breed allowed on this site: Dire Wolves. Sex and age do not matter. It is only: ROLEPLAYING ABILITY.
Breeding/Pups.
There will be NO GRAPHIC BREEDING. If you want to do so, do it over some other site or Instant Messenger or something - just not here. All birthing will be done in the Whispering Well. Please use the form provided or you will not recieve your puppies. Staff will be handing out all puppies, do not beg or ask for any of your own. The max limit for puppies is 5, the minimum is 2. Do not expect alot of 5's. Puppies will age with the seasons. I do not want to see a one-year old dog born last Spring while all of it's siblings are still only 6-9 months old. Do not post in Whispering Wells if it does not say "Breeding Season" up on the info table. Wolves can forcebreed, as long as the female gives consent. (The roleplayer of the female.)
Time.
Liquid Time is allowed. Liquid Time: Your character can be in one place more than once, meaning you can be in two threads at the same time with the same character. Every 3 weeks is a new season.
Challenges/Ruling.
Alphas are allowed immunity for 1 year each. After challenged and lost, the next alpha will get immunity. Example: Bob claims the land first in Spring and gets immunity for the next year until next spring. Joe challenges next Springand wins, he gets immunity until next Spring. If Joe lost, Bob would gain immunity once again. If the Alpha dies, it will first be passed down to the heir. If the heir is not of age(1 year old) then it will remain heir and the Beta will take the Alpha's place. A wolf must be 1 year old to rule over his own pack. Females can rule by themselves.
I reserve the right to change these at ANY time to help the sucess of the site.
